Ever wonder why you feel like you are always being attacked by the “devil” whenever you feel you have reached a new level in your relationship with God. What if the temptation is not coming from the devil but from God. True faith and true repentance cannot be achieved unless it has been tested. Take Job, he was faithful, giving, loving and was always striving for a closer walk with God. To obtain that closer walk he had to loose everything but his nagging wife. If it was not for God the devil would not have been able to test Jobs faith. Remember God has to allow the devil attack you. God has faith in you. He said he would not put more on us then we could bare. The spirit and the power we receive while in prayer is what is suppose to empower our walk with God and give us the power to overcome the attack True faith is tested faith. True repentance is tested repentance.

As most of you know we had an amazing service last night. Bro. TJ and Bro. Jake really allowed God to use them and challenge us to reach out more. We have to be used as God’s arm to reach. We were asked to commit to bring one person in the next month to youth service and I believe every one of us will be able to complete the challenge.

As well all start to bring in guests we need to be prepared to recieve them. I would like to challenge everyone to start reading your bibles more often, find and study search for truth manuals and be ready to answer the questions your friends will have. We can not leave the bible studies and general questions to our platform ministry.

 As Bro. J. spoke of last week and me and TJ in our first podcast, God will not put more on you then you can handle.  God will also not give us more people then we can support. The bible refers to new converts as children and as children they need to be taken care of and support until they can handle the meat of the word and stand on their own. Our purpose as saints of God is to provide the support system and to be ready to answer and support these new converts.

 The challenge that Bro. TJ put forth was a call to not just bring them but retain them. It is awesome if we have a youth service with 100 new converts but what if we don’t have the resouces to provide them with what they need. It would kill me to know God put these people in our church for a reason and because we were not prepared we could not help them.

As a youth group let us grow together in wisdom and knowledge of the scriptures and come to church ready to recieve our blessing and ready for God to use us!

As most of you know we had a great weekend with Bro. Mike J. He spoke to all of us and the service we had on saturday changed my life.  I hope to get some video and pictures up on our blog A.S.AP.  We will also podcast the two messages on our new podcast site Driven Podcast.

Hey all, I’m not sure if any of you still look at this site or not but If you do I just want to say how excited I am about our talents giving. I know it is just starting and all but I know God is happy with us for giving to foreign missions. God is going to do an awsome work through us. I was hoping for at least $300 a month from our group and we already have more than that pledged with more on the way. Remember what I read about last week “The king rejoiced because the people that gave to the treasure house of God gave with a cheerful heart.” I love to give to God. I will prove him at his word.

Our new lighting system is almost complete..we will also have a few other surprises by our next youth service. Come check the chapel anytime and Please invite our your friends on our big come back service on August 10th, 2007.

Please post anything that has happened to you since starting giving to foreign missions. I am excited to hear about everything God is doing for our Youth Group.

We have added 3 of the Messages from Battle of the Sexes. I ran into some trouble getting one of the weeks up but as soon as I can get that up I will. Look soon for the Youth Pastors montly blog. We might even get an extra one this month. Isn’t our YP awesome.

hey All hope you’re doing well. I had an awesome time yesterday. I went to a place called family way life center. It is a place for teens that are dealing with drug use. This month they are having religious awareness week. they are having people from diff. faiths come in and explain who they are and what they believe. The guy that runs the show(JEFF) is actually Apostolic. I was so excited he called me and I spoke to the kids (about 25 kids,ages 14-18) about the Apostolic faith,Jesus name Baptism and The Holy Ghost/tongues. they were all very interested in the tongues. Anyways Jeff asked me to come back and he wants me to bring a praise team to let the kids hear the type of music that we sing at our church. the 24th of May I am going back there with some of our praise team. How awesome is that!!? what a cool door to open up to us. Pray that God would give me the right words and the praise team a great anointing. Jeff said by Law we can’t pray with the kids at the center but let us all pray that when we sing about God that the kids there will want to pray and feel more of God. He wants us to win the world…we must just walk through the door. Keep this in your prayers. love you all STYP
